Hillclimb Rules:

1)     All Drivers must pay the Insurance fee, along with class fees on the posted Registration Due Date.

2)     Drivers are required to check out the safety, skill-needed, of the course BEFORE the competition and/or registration, and only agree to compete if the driver feels he/she has the skill level for the safety of himself/herself, the officials, and fans.  If the driver feels he/she is not qualified to compete and/or the course and/or hill is not safe, they will be refunded any and all money they paid for that specific event.

3)     Driver must wear approved Protective equipment.  Drivers must have Upper Body, and Arm protection.  Snell 2005 or ECE 20.25 helmet (the ECE is the European standard).  Eye Protection.  NO Body part can be exposed.

4)     It is the DRIVERS responsibility to know and understand the ISR Safety Rules.  If the Snowmobile and/or the driver does not meet the proper safety equipment, the MASTERS Officials reserve the right to disqualify the driver from the event and/or class and/or specific race/hill attempt.  Unless specified in this Rules Sheet and/or at the Drivers meeting, all ISR Rules will apply to Hillclimbs.

5)     It is the DRIVERS responsibility to know and understand the ISR Safety Rules for  a Hillclimb.  If the Snowmobile and/or the driver does not meet the proper safety equipment, the MASTERS Officials reserve the right to disqualify the driver from the event and/or class and/or specific race/hill attempt.  Unless specified in this Rules Sheet and/or at the Drivers meeting, all ISR Rules will apply to Hillclimb Competition.

6)     No obscene language, signals, or gestures will be allowed by a driver and/or crew member on the grunds during the competition..  Personal conduct actions by either the driver and/or crew member can prevent the driver from receiving any purse, awards, or current or future competition.

7)     Any posters, banners, trailers, stickers or visible material that is deemed inappropriate for the event will be asked to be removed and if the material is not removed, the driver will be disqualified and asked to leave the grounds with NO REFUND.

8)     Any driver and/or crew member (s) that disrupts or interferes with a MASTERS Official  during the competition that harms or hampers a fellow competitor will be disqualified.  Drivers are asked to ask for an appropriate time to talk or discuss an issue with an official.

9)     All snowmobiles must be turned off during the playing of our National Anthem in respect for our veterans.

10)   Absolutely NO ALCOHOLIC Beverages or consumption of Alcohol by a driver or person in the pits.  Any driver found to have consumed alcohol 4 hours prior to the event, and/or during the event will be disqualified.

11)    The MASTERS reserves the right to limit the amount of entries for the event and/or class.

12)   Each registered driver is allowed 1 Pit Pass.  All drivers and Pit people must have event entry pass with them at the general Admission gate and the gate to the pits.  Additional Pit Passes can be purchased PRIOR to the Drivers Meeting.  Anyone found to be in the Pits will be immediately removed from the grounds WITHOUT a refund.  Everyone in the pits is required to sign a Waiver of Liability provided by the MASTERS.

13)   Stock snowmobiles must be STOCK.  The only Non-Stock items allowed in Hillclimb competiton is skis, and track.  As of 4/1/2010 ONLY STOCK suspension will be allowed to compete.  In Hillcimb competition stabilizer bars and air boxes can be removed.  Hood must match the OEM of the sled to be stock.

14)   In STOCK competition the snowmobile and/or ATV cannot have ANY alteration to exhaust, silencers must remain on snowmobile,

15)    In STOCK, clutch weights and springs can be changed, however clutch must be STOCK.

16)   A sled has to have motor and chassis OEM matched to remain stock.

17)   Nitrus and Turbo Charged machines must run in Mod Class, per engine size for Snowmobile Hillclimb competition.

18)   2 Cylinder 4- Stroke STOCK Snowmobiles will run in 500 cc Stock Class. 3 Cylinder 4-Stroke STOCK Snowmobiles will run in Stock 600cc class.  4 Cylinder 4-Stroke STOCK Snowmobiles will run in Stock 700cc class.

19)   The Snowflap must touch the ground with driver on sled.

20)   NO OPEN FLAME TO HEAT NOS BOTTLE IN PITS, get a warm blanket wrap, to get the bottle warm enough and safe.  NOS bottle must be removed to run stock.

21)   All Trailers in the Pits, open or enclosed, MUST HAVE A WORKING FIRE EXTINGUISHER in or on Trailer.

22)   A belt/clutch guard constructed of at least 3/32" aluminum extending over the center bolt of the primary clutch and covering the secondary clutch in asafe secure manner on mod snowmobiles.

23)   Snowmobile Hillcimb, all hoods must have reinforced straps to help in keeping the hood on the snowmobile.

24)   Vintage Sleds must NOT be 1980 or newer.

25)   SPORT, Semi-Pro, and Vintage Classes are TROPHY-ONLY Classes.  No cash purse will be awarded in any of these Divisions.

26)   ALL sleds in Hillcimb must have a color-contrasting 8-inch number (s) assigned to the driver on BOTH sides of the hood ro compete.

27)   All Snowmobiles must have an operating tether.  The tether must be attached to the driver at ALL times that the snowmobile engine is running, this includes the pits.  Any driver found to have his/her snowmobile engine running without the tether attached to the driver will be AUTOMATICALLY disqualified from the class and/or event.

28)   Snowmobile must be on a fully enclosed and approved ISR Stand when engine is running in the Pit Area and/or the starting line.  Any driver found to have an individual (s) hold the back of the sled up while the track is moving will be AUTOMATICALLY disqualified

29)   All driver and sled (s) must pass the MASTERS Official Safety Inspection and have the correct MASTERS Sticker or tagging before competing.

30)   MASTERS officials reserves the right to disqualify a driver and/or machine due to safety for the driver, officials, event workers, promoters, media, and/or fans.

31)   All drivers must run in the order drawn or assigned.  Any driver running out of position will forfeit that run/race.  Driver order and schedule is determined prior to race.  Hillcimb competition the driver and/or a representative of the driver must be in attendance of the meeting where the MASTERS will hold the ‘draw’ for driver order and/or position.  Any driver that enters the wrong class will either forfeit a race or be disqualified from competition as decided by a MASTERS Official.  Any driver that registers for a class in which he/she knowingly has a sled that does not belong in the class may be disqualified from the competition and/or future competition.  The order of the competition will be determined at the Drivers meeting.

32)   A driver and/or sled,is NOT ALLOWED to hit any ‘gate,’ ‘flag,’ ‘cone,’ or lane-marker.  In Hillclimb competition, the gate that the driver and/or sled hits a gate will be considered the ‘high mark’ for that run.

33)   A driver has a set amount of time to be determined before the race to be at the starting line.  If that driver and or machine is not at the starting line during the announced time limit, the driver’s ‘run’ will be considered a loss or forfeit

34)  A snowmobile cannot run/enter more than once in a class with a different driver.  That snowmobile can enter a different class with a different driver, however if that sled and/or driver cannot run due to mechanical problems, the driver WILL NOT BE refunded his/her MASTERS fees.

35)   In Hillclimb, a snowmolbile is not allowed to go below or down the hill or highest spot.  The highest ‘mark’ will then be determined by the driver.

36)   In Hillclimb competition, qualifying for the Pro Stock and Pro Mod King of the Hill will be determined at the drivers meeting.

37)   Any driver that is found to be in violation of any MASTERS and ISR Rules will forfeit any and all fees and prizes for the event and/or the year.

38)  ALL Drivers must pay the MASTERS Membership/Insurance/Event Fee.

39)   The MASTERS and/or Promoters may change or eliminate a rule printed here or in the ISR Rules providing the specific rule has been announced at the drivers meeting and/or prior to the competition.  It is the responsibility of the driver to bring up any and all rules that may be in question during the drivers meeting.

40)   All drivers are REQUIRED to be in attendance of the Drivers Meeting (s)

41)   The driver agrees to allow the MASTERS and the Media to take pictures, interviews, film competition with no reimbursement to the driver.

42)   All trophy and cash purses will be distributed at the Awards banquet.  The MASTERS will NOT send trophies or purse.  With prior agreed arrangements between the driver and the MASTERS, a trophy and/or purse can be given to an agreed upon representative of the driver at the Awards meeting.

43)   Once the event is announced to be over, no snowmobile is allowed on the course and the hill.  The driver is not allowed to have another individual ride his/her sled on the course, or hill after the event is over, and if the sled that was in the competition is on the hill following the conclusion of the event, that driver may be suspended from future MASTERS events.

44)   All Official Calls are FINAL!

45)   ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS for failure to abide by the rules either printed here or announced at the drivers meeting.

46)   ALL drivers are required to read and understand the rules hereby given and that by signing below the driver and the drivers crew members agree to abide by the rules given, and that no driver is allowed to compete without signing below, and giving the signed copy to an authorized representative of the MASTERS.  The drivers are asked to make a copy of this signed rules statement for themselves and/or crew members.

Snowmobile Drag Racing Rules:

Working for, and/or representing without a Refund.

25)   MASTERS officials reserves the right to disqualify a driver and/or machine due to safety for the driver, officials, event workers, promoters, media, and/or fans.

26)   All drivers must run in the order AND Lane assigned.  Any driver running out of order or lane will forfeit that run/race.  Race order and Lane Assignments are posted on the board prior to race.  Any driver that enters the wrong class will either forfeit a race or be disqualified from competition as decided by a MASTERS Official.  Any driver that registers for a class in which he/she knowingly has a sled that does not belong in the class may be disqualified from the competition and/or future competition.  The order of the competition will be determined at the Drivers meeting.

27)   In Drag competition the driver and the snowmobile must stay in the assigned lane and cannot hit a lane marker.

28)   In Drag the driver and the snowmobile, must be at the starting line and pass the first set of markers to claim any prizes and/or purse.

29)   A driver has a set amount of time to be determined before the race to be at the starting line.  If that driver and or machine is not at the starting line during the announced time limit, the driver’s ‘run’ will be considered a loss or forfeit.

30)   If a snowmobile cannot run in the class he/she has already competed in and registered for due to mechanical problems, the driver CAN run a different snowmobile OF LESS CC that meets the Safety and Class Requirements.

31)   Any driver that is found to be in violation of any MASTERS and ISR Rules will forfeit any and all fees and prizes for the event and/or the year.

 Xtreme Challenge Rules:

1)     ATV Xtreme Challenge drivers must wear Upper Body and Arm Protection.  Snell 2005 Helmet.  Eye Protection.  NO Body part can be exposed.  Truck Xtreme Challenge drivers must wear a DOT Safety Approved Helmet and wear Seat Belts.  A driver that does not have Protective equipment on in the pits or at the starting line will be AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED and will NOT be refunded his/her money

2)     No obscene language, signals, or gestures will be allowed by a driver and/or crew member on the grunds during the competition..  Personal conduct actions by either the driver and/or crew member can prevent the driver from receiving any purse, awards, or current or future competition.

11)   No studded tires for ATV’s or Trucks in non-ice Xtreme Challenge competition.

12)   MASTERS officials reserves the right to disqualify a driver and/or machine due to safety for the driver, officials, event workers, promoters, media, and/or fans.  ALL Trucks must have Seat and shoulder restraining equipment and ALL Truck Drivers MUST wear Seat and Shoulder Straps during competition.

13)   All drivers must run in the order AND Lane assigned.  Any driver running out of order or lane will forfeit that run/race.  Race order and Lane Assignments are posted on the board prior to race.  Any driver that enters the wrong class will either forfeit a race or be disqualified from competition as decided by a MASTERS Official.  Any driver that registers for a class in which he/she knowingly has a vehicle that does not belong in the class may be disqualified from the competition and/or future competition.  The order of the competition will be determined at the Drivers meeting.

14)   A driver and/ATV or Truck is NOT ALLOWED to hit any ‘gate,’ ‘flag,’ ‘cone,’ or lane-marker.

15)   In an ATV Xtreme Challenge the driver and the ATV, or Truck must be at the starting line and pass the first set of markers to claim any prizes and/or purse.

19)   ALL Xtreme Challenge Competitors must be a member of Mi-TRALE.

20)   The MASTERS and/or Promoters may change or eliminate a rule printed here or in the ISR Rules providing the specific rule has been announced at the drivers meeting and/or prior to the competition.  It is the responsibility of the driver to bring up any and all rules that may be in question during the drivers meeting.
